Past IPT training events or IPT developments in Hong Kong

Dr John Markowitz brought IPT to Hong Kong in 2007 at an introductory workshop organised by psychologists in public hospitals.
In 2010, Dr Michael O’Hara gave an IPT introductory workshop in Hong Kong.
Dr Scott Stuart organised IPT introductory workshops in Hong Kong in 2011, 2014 and 2016.
In 2012, IPT became one modality of psychotherapy which psychiatric residents in Hong Kong can be trained in, to fulfill their psychotherapy training requirement.
A 2-day IPT Introductory Workshop by Dr Betsy Bledsoe, Ph.D. in 2018.
IPT Introductory Workshop and Skill Mini-Workshops in 2019 organized by The Hong Kong College of Mental Health Nursing.
The 8th ISIPT Conference held in Budapest in 2019 marked the first occassion where Hong Kong was represented in the IPT global scene.
In 2020, ISIPT certified the first Chinese IPT trainer and supervisor in Hong Kong.
The Chinese Chapter of the International Society of Interpersonal Psychotherapy was established by therapists from both the mainland China and Hong Kong.
2-day IPT Introductory Workshop in 2023 organized by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ho Yuk Ching Educational Psychology Service Centre.
In 2024, five psychiatrists from Hong Kong participated in the 10th ISIPT Conference in Newcastle. This website was established to further disseminate IPT in Hong Kong.
